Debt payoff
Gold featureTrack what you owe and see a real payoff date — snowball or avalanche, with interest accounted for.
Debt is just net worth in reverse, and it responds to a plan. Thrift tracks what you owe and turns it into a date you can actually aim at.
Tracking debts
Record each debt — a card, a loan — with its balance, interest rate, and minimum payment. Together they let Thrift model how the balance behaves over time rather than treating it as a flat number.
Snowball or avalanche
Choose a strategy for paying down more than one debt:
- Snowball — clear the smallest balance first, for momentum.
- Avalanche — attack the highest interest rate first, for the lowest total cost.
Thrift shows what each approach means for you so the choice is informed, not folklore.
The payoff date
From the balances, rates, and payments, Thrift projects when you’ll be debt-free and the total interest you’ll pay getting there.
Extra payments
Try an extra amount against a debt and watch the payoff date move and the interest shrink — the clearest argument for paying a little more when you can.
