Delete Your FinTrail Account

You can delete your FinTrail account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. Deletion is permanent — we cannot restore an account once it has been removed.

Delete from the app

1. Open FinTrail and sign in.
2. Go to More in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Choose Delete account.
4. Enter your password to confirm.

Your account is removed as soon as you confirm, and you are signed out on every device.

Delete without the app

If you have already uninstalled FinTrail, email support@fintrail.net from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. We verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 7 days.

What is deleted

Everything tied to your account, including:

• Your name, username, email address, phone number and profile photo
• Every portfolio, along with the trades and holdings recorded in it
• Deposits and withdrawals you recorded
• Watchlists, price alerts and their fire history
• Posts, comments, likes and follows
• Saved screeners and saved chart layouts
• Telegram and Discord connections, and your push notification registrations
• Sign-in sessions and access tokens on every device

What is kept, and why

Three things outlive the account. None of them identifies you afterwards.

• Security and audit records. We keep the record that an event happened and remove the person it belonged to. This is what lets us investigate abuse and account compromise.
• Email delivery logs. The same: the event stays, the person is removed.
• Payment records. Subscription payments reach us through bKash, Nagad and bank transfer, outside the app, and are reconciled by hand. Deleting the record would leave a real payment with nothing to match it against, so it is kept for accounting and tax purposes with the personal details stripped out.

Retention

Your account and the data listed above are removed immediately on confirmation. Any residual copies are cleared within 30 days, as set out in our Privacy Policy. The retained records described above are kept only in the de-identified form explained there.
